CIREBON

Cirebon is often called shrimp city, is one of a small town in West Java. Why Cirebon can be regarded as shrimp? Cirebon literally comes from the words Ci and Rebon. Ci itself in Sundanese means river, while Rebon means small prawns which arecommonly obtained in the river. It is said that the former is very easy to getshrimp / rebon in rivers in this city and since the former fisheries commodities such as shrimp widely cultivated. From the size of the shrimp were small (rebon/ shrimp smooth) to large shrimp (prawns, tiger shrimp), which is a commoditythat is usually exported abroad often found in this city. The name"Sunyaragi" it self comes from the word "sunya" which means deserted, and the word "yeast" which means the body, both Sangsekerta language. Sunyaragi cave is located in the Village Sunyaragi, Kesambi, Cirebon,or rather on the side of the road by pass Brigjen Dharsono. The main objective is the construction of Sunyaragi cave as a place to rest and meditation of the Sultan of Cirebon and family. Cirebon also has a museum that is on Kasepuhan Cirebon called museum artifacts. In the museum there are relics of the pastsuch as gamelan, tambourines, white crocodile skull, vest war etc.
